Twin Falls, Idaho - William “Bill” Gene Rosenof, 81, of Twin Falls, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012.
Bill was born June 18, 1931, in Greeley, Colo., to George and Lydia Rosenof. He moved with his family to Rock Springs, Wyo., at the age of 3, and they lived there until 1944 when the family moved to Twin Falls. Bill started to farm with his dad and uncles and remained a farmer for 58 years. It was a profession he always enjoyed. He married Aloa Stevens in Buhl, Idaho, on Feb. 20, 1955. To this marriage three children were born, Susan, Linda and William. Bill enjoyed cars all of his life. His fondness for Dodge cars and trucks was well known among family and friends. His tractor restorations were a labor of love he enjoyed. He was a member of the Magic Valley Antique Tractor Club.
Bill is survived by his wife, Aloa; children, Susan (Dan) Grigsby, Linda (Michael) Kalisek and William S. (Lisa) Rosenof; grandchildren, Steven (Michal) Grigsby, Andrew Grigsby, Joey Kalisek, Jeorgi Kalisek, Lydia Rosenof and Hannah Rosenof; and a sister, LaVerna Simons. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, DuWayne Rosenof.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ken Harris and the nurses from Hospice Visions for the wonderful care they gave to Bill. The family suggests that memorial contributions be given to the Twin Falls Humane Society, People for Pets, 420 Victory Ave., Twin Falls, ID 83301.
A private family service will be held later in the spring. Cremation is under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home and Crematory.
