Twin Falls, Idaho - Shirlee Louise Brooke, 92, of Twin Falls passed away Monday evening, December 3, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Shirlee was born on January 1, 1920 in Starke County, Indiana the daughter of Arthur W. Noggle and Violet I. Malotte Noggle. She married Glenn Brooke on March 12, 1938 and together they raised two children, Deanna and Charles.
Shirlee worked as a Child Evangelist for many years in Las Vegas, Nevada and in Twin Falls. She loved children and enjoyed helping them praise God.
Shirlee is survived by her daughter, Deanna Hakkila of Twin Falls; two grandchildren, Jeri Claridge of Twin Falls and David Johnson of Las Vegas, Nevada; as well as her two sisters, Joanna and Marilyn. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Glenn Brooke; one son Charles “Chickey”; and one sister, Virginia.
A celebration of Shirlee’s life will be held as a graveside service at 12:00 noon on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Sunset Memorial Park with Pastor Jim Sommer officiating. At Shirlee’s request there will be no public viewing. Services are under the direction of Trent Stimpson and staff at Reynolds Funeral Chapel, Twin Falls.
