Jerome, Idaho - Colleen Baird, age 60, of Jerome, Idaho, died peacefully in her home Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, after a long battle with chronic illness.
Colleen was born Aug. 9, 1952, in Rupert, Idaho, the oldest of seven children. She is survived by her parents, Robert and Marion Baird; and six siblings, Connie Duke, Robert Baird, Karen Vannoy, Bill Baird, Roger Baird and Jeffrey Baird. She also leaves behind her youngest daughter, Crystal Baird; and two grandsons, Ashton and Carter Baird. She is preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Jennifer Baird.
Colleen worked for many years as a vocational evaluator, first at Magic Valley Rehabilitation Services and then most recently at Community Partnerships of Idaho. She was very skilled at helping people in the community find the right job for themselves despite their physical or mental limitations. She was always a very hard worker, rarely called in sick despite her ailments and, in fact, continued to work from home while receiving hospice care.
Many thanks to the staff at Hospice Visions for the excellent care and compassion they showed to Colleen during this time. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday,
Dec. 27, at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 S. Lincoln in Jerome. Services will be under the direction of David Farnsworth of Farnsworth Mortuary.

I became friends with Colleen our first semester of college and we had many crazy adventures. She invented "Schnurrbart Day" running around CSI drawing mustaches on unsuspecting students with a permanent marker. Colleen was the cause of much mischief
