Burley, Idaho - Martin Rodriguez, a 53-year-old former Burley resident, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Martin was born Dec. 16, 1959, in El Compo, Texas, the son of Lorance Rodriguez and Maria Monserrate Coto. His favorite past times were camping, fishing and working on cars. He enjoyed spending time with his children. He adored and loved his dog, Ivory; she was his trusted traveling companion. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his son, Nick Rodriguez (Olivia) of Utah; grandson, Trey Rodriguez of Utah; daughter, Shasta Rodriguez of Idaho; mother, Monse Rodriguez of Burley; ex-wife, Candace Hudson of Idaho; brothers and sisters, Santos (Carmen) Rodriguez of Nevada, David (Daria) Rodriguez of Texas, Julia (Tony) Pena of Boise, Maria Rodriguez of Idaho, Leroy Rodriguez of Nevada, Mary Ann (Jesse Jr.) Nevarez of Idaho, Rafael Rodriguez of Colorado and Orlando (Dawn) Rodriguez of Idaho. He was preceded in death by his father, Lorance Rodriguez Sr.; two brothers, Lorance Rodriguez and Adeberto Rodriguez; and sister, Victoria Rodriguez.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Mountain View Christian Center, 317 Mountain View Lane in Burley, with Pastor Jim Powell officiating. Burial will follow in the Heyburn Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 Friday evening, Jan. 25, at the Morrison-Payne Funeral Home, 321 E. Main St. in Burley, and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison-Payne Funeral Home in Burley.
