Hagerman, Idaho - James Gerald Chappell, 43, of Hagerman, passed away Friday January 25, 2013 in Gooding. He was born January 28, 1969 in Santa Rosa, California, the son of Gerald D. Chappell and Phyllis M. Joyal Chappell. James was raised in Cloverdale and graduated from Cloverdale High School. He then settled in Idaho and spent most of his working life as a heavy equipment operator. James enjoyed racing cars, camping, fishing, four-wheeling and motorcycle riding with his kids. James is survived by his children, Billy, Charissa, Alex and Alivia; his parents, Gerald and Phyllis Chappell; one sister, Tracy Chappell-Spencer and one brother, Kelly Chappell; one nephew, Scott and three nieces, Carrie, Brittni and Nicole. He is also survived by extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by all four grandparents.
A Celebration of James' life will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday January 30, 2013, at the Hagerman American Legion Hall, 281 North State Street (Highway 30), Hagerman, Idaho. Arrangements are under the care of Farnsworth Mortuary of Jerome.
