Twin Falls, Idaho - Mary Jean “Jeannie” Fletcher, 72, of Twin Falls, died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2013, at her home with her husband by her side.
She was born Feb. 16, 1940, to Selvestri and Fortunata Bacolad in Paia, Maui, Hawaii. She grew up in Hawaii and, on Jan. 28, 1961, she married the love of her life, Robert L. “Bob” Fletcher in Honolulu, Hawaii. On April 1, 1976, they moved to Idaho to be near Robert’s family. Jeannie loved Idaho; she enjoyed ceramics, camping with the Good Sam’s Club, snowmobiling, Sunday Bingo at the Moose Lodge and was a member of the Ladies Red Hat Society. She was also a major football fan who never missed a Boise State game, and she could cheer with the best of them. Jeannie made many lasting friendships, including her calico cat, Runner. Before her retirement, Jeannie worked picking beans at the Kimberly Green Seeds. Known to many by her nickname, “Pineapple,” her beautiful smile and laughter will be missed by many. Jeannie was an incredible wife, aunt, sister and sister-in-law.
Her parents preceded her in death. Surviving Jeannie is her loving husband of 52 years, Robert L. Fletcher; her brothers, Mark and Joseph of Hawaii; and her sister, Patricia; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Jeannie will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at the Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road in Twin Falls, Idaho. The funeral for Jeannie will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Twin Falls Senior Citizens Center, 530 Shoshone St. W., Twin Falls, ID 83301, or to the Twin Falls Animal Shelter, 420 Victory Ave., Twin Falls, ID 83301.

So sorry to hear of Jeannie's passing Fletch. She was such a beautiful soul with a heart as big as Texas. I'll never forget her yummy Christmas goodies, her warm friendly nature, and her cheerful smile. My thoughts are with you.

Been thinking lately of my cousin. Sad to hear of her leaving us before I had chance of visiting from Stockton, Ca. Now you are with grandma and mom. Aloha nui!
