Burley, Idaho - Nola M. Larson, age 84, of Burley, passed away on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at her home.
She was born on Feb. 29, 1928, in Clarkston, Utah, the oldest child of Ira Q. and Metta H. Petersen Hansen. She married Verl K. Larson on Jan. 9, 1947, in Burley. She worked many years as the insurance specialist at J.R. Simplot Company in Heyburn. She was an active member of the LDS Church and had served in the Family History Center and at the time of her death was the Burley West Stake’s family history consultant. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Survivors include two sons, Rick D. (Wendy) Larson and Kevin A. Larson all of Burley; three grandsons, Eric Larson, Daniel Larson and Ryan Larson; two great-granchildren, Jessilyn Larson and Matthew Larson; two sisters, Afton Smith of Kimberly, Idaho, and Marlene Moen of Ennis Mont.; and her brother, Roger Hansen of Burley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Verl; and a son, Dale.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at the Oakley Cemetery in Oakley, with Bishop Jeff Harris officiating.
The family suggests memorials be directed to the Burley LDS Church Family History Center.
