Delbert L. Tree
On March 18, 1949 he married Elizabeth Julia Scott in the Salt Lake City, Utah LDS Temple. They made their home in Park City then later Coalville, where they raised seven children and farmed. In 1971 they settled in Richfield, Idaho and continued working side by side on the family farm. Delbert continued serving in the church in a variety of callings, including Bishop. He loved working in the Scouting program and was a faithful home teacher. He and Betty also served a full-time mission together in the Philippines.
Delbert will be remembered as a happy and kind gentleman who was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He is survived by six children; Deborah (Gerald) Blatter, Lynn (Norma) Tree, Charles (Allison) Tree, Letty (Bill) Clayton, Anita (Jed) Adamson and Delbert A. (Katie) Tree. He is also survived by daughter-in-law, Denese Tree, 23 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty, their son Edward, and 10 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Saturday April 27, 2013, at the Richfield LDS Chapel, Hwy 93, Richfield, Idaho, with Bishop Matthew Kent officiating. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Richfield Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Farnsworth Mortuary of Jerome.
