James Jerome “Jim” Glodowski
Jim was born June 4, 1946 to James E. and Deana Glodowski. As a child, he attended Saint Edwards Catholic. He attended and graduated from Jerome High School, where he met and later married his high school sweetheart, Beverly Jane Henson. Together they have four children, Dan (Tracy), Michelle "Shelli" Lance, Rob (Kellie) and Ryan (Darynn). Jim was a proud and loving Grandpa, who loved to tease and spend time with Dallas, Delanie, A.J., Hailey, Ammon(deceased),Andrea, Landon, Krista, and Preston.
Jim spent many years working the family farm in Jerome. Here is where Jim and Bev raised their kids. They were taught many lessons by their dad, to do for others just because, to make time for family, friends and neighbors and most important, taught them the value of hard work. Jim not only taught them to work hard, but also taught them to play hard. He shared his love of motorcycles, snowmobiles and his beloved Studebaker with his family. Later in life, Jim enjoyed spending time at their family cabin in Pine, Idaho. At that cabin, many memories were made fishing off the dock, playing cards on the deck, and 4 wheeling.
Jim was a talented woodworker, welder, inventor, and entrepreneur. His invention of The Navigator, is a simple idea that turned into a successful business. He enjoyed creating art with metal, restoring old gas pumps and collecting this and that.
Jim had a sweet tooth for all things chocolate, or any treat that didn't eat him first. You would rarely see Jim without a can of Diet Pepsi and he always had plenty in the “old fridge” to share.
Everyone who knew Jim loved him. No matter how busy he was he always had time for his family, friends and neighbors. He lived by the lessons that he taught his kids and would help anyone in need. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
His granddaughter sums up Jim's life:
For those of you who don't know what strength looks like, look at my grandpa.
For those of you who don't know what a positive influence looks like, look at my grandpa.
For those of you who don't know what caring looks like, look at my grandpa.
