Twin Falls, Idaho - Matthew (Matt) Allan Ostrander, 32 of Twin Falls was taken from this life by a car accident in Wendell, Id on July 27, 2013.

Matt was born on January 13, 1981 in Twin Falls, ID as the youngest of three brothers. He resided in Jerome until the age of 9, then he attended Wendell schools until the age of 15 when he moved to Twin Falls and lived until his untimely departure. Matt met his soul mate, Andrea, and was married in 2006 and became a loving, devoted father and husband.

Matt worked at Longview Fibre Co. where he was a hardworking friend to everyone he worked with and broke numerous records as a machine operator. In his spare time Matt was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to be outdoors. He was a natural with archery hunting, flint knapping and tying flies. He was quick with a smile, a handshake and a hug to everyone. His compassionate, honest and respectful spirit will live on long past his departure. Matt was an amazing man to his family, his friends and those fortunate enough to have known him. He lived up to the meaning of his name, “Gift from God.” We love you Matt, forever and always.

Matt is survived by his wife, Andrea Ostrander and his two children, Dennis and Lena Ostrander; his parents, Kathy Blamires and John (Flo) Ostrander; his brothers, Tony Ostrander, Michael Pierce, Michael Wiggins and Shane Wiggins; as well as many more family and friends.

Oh Matt could make this old teacher laugh. When he tested his boundaries he would back up and make everyone laugh. I will never forget some of the stunts he pulled and the joy he would share with his smile and spikey hair. This is a sad day indeed.

Matt will be missed dearly. He always put a smile in my face when he came into the Cheveron. Andrea and Matt would always have a nice thing to say and joke with you. He was the protective kind of his friends.
