of Wendell, Idaho
Born: October 22, 1969 in Jerome, Idaho
Died: September 10, 2013 in Wendell, Idaho
Age: 43 years old
Wendell, Idaho - On September 10, 2013, Jerrad Dale Durfee was unexpectedly called to our Heavenly Father. Jerrad was born in Jerome, Idaho on October 22, 1969.
He was an active member of the Wendell Community, as a volunteer firefighter and an employee of the City of Wendell. He was an all-around likeable guy, with a happy-go-lucky personality, which many people enjoyed.
He was a very faithful father, along with his wife, Diane Drake Durfee, raising their enthusiastic children, Shelleana 21, Mike 20, Chaz 17, Trevor 14 and Braden 9. Every one of them loved him with all their hearts and will miss going camping, family gatherings and goofing around.
He enjoyed being an assistant baseball coach for Braden’s baseball team and helping Braden design and race pinewood derby cars for Boy Scouts.
At an early age he enjoyed cars, starting with Matchbox and Hot Wheel cars. After graduating from Wendell High School, he continued his passion for cars and went on to Wyoming Tech taking their auto body and mechanics classes. He also earned an Associated Degree in Water Management from the College of Southern Idaho. Working in these professions, he acquired many lifelong friendships.
He will also be greatly missed by his “best bud”, Chancy, his Black Lab.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; his parents, Ynes and Dewey Durfee; and his children, Shelleana, Mike, Chaz, Trevor and Braden.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Living Waters Presbyterian Church in Wendell. Burial will follow at the Wendell Cemetery.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday at Demaray Funeral Service – Wendell Chapel at 164 East Main Street in Wendell.

Dewey, Ynes and all the family, I amso sorry. I will always remember the kind, carrying, loving young man that took the time to stop and see me at school, who went to go see mom and left flowers at my door when dad passed. I love him and always will.
