Jerome, Idaho - Helen Clifford Hadlock, 84, of Jerome, passed away at her home, on Friday September 27, 2013. She was born August 17, 1929 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Alva Franklin Clifford and Sarah Martha Jones Clifford. Helen was raised in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School and Weber College. She married William Lisle Hadlock on April 1, 1949. They settled in Jerome where they raised seven children. Helen was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in a variety of church callings including: Primary, Sunday School, Young Women and Relief Society. Helen was also involved in Scouting and taught Seminary for many years. She had a special affinity for genealogy and served for many years at the Family History Center. Helen also dedicated many hours to serving her community and was involved in "Operation Chairlift," raising money for chairs in the new high school auditorium.
Helen will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend, as well as a very hard worker.
She is survived by six children; Mike Hadlock, of Jerome, Steve (Becky) Hadlock, of Salt Lake City, Joan (Dean) Emery and Karen (Ron) Crozier, all of Jerome, David (Krista) Hadlock, of Twin Falls and Bob (Robin) Hadlock, of Washington, Utah. She is also survived by 33 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren; one sister, Arlene Walker, of Ogden; one brother, Vern (Ione) Clifford, of Wichita, Kansas; and many extended family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Chris Hadlock; her daughter-in-law, Barbara Hadlock; her grandson, Kelly Emery; one sister, Theola Clifford; and two brothers, Dale and Gordon Clifford.
A visitation will be held Thursday evening, Oct. 3, 2013, at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 South Lincoln, Jerome, where family and friends may call from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Friday October 4, 2013, in the Jerome LDS 7th Ward Chapel, 50 East 100 South, Jerome, with Bishop Davis Suitter, officiating. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Jerome Cemetery. Helen's family would like to offer a special "Thank You" to Visions Hospice and Dusty from Home Health.
