Twin Falls, Idaho - Our beautiful Jon was born July 10, 1982, in Twin Falls to Harry and Jan Brumbach. A vibrant, loving, troubled and sensitive soul ended his own internal struggle Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, by taking his own life.
He discovered his love for the mountains at an early age and developed an unwavering passion for backcountry skiing, snowmobiling, and mountain and dirt biking through endless landscapes but always yearning to return to his beloved Sawtooth Mountains.
Jon’s intelligence and curiosity led him to achieve highest honors with a doctorate in pharmaceutical chemistry helping him to travel the globe in pursuit of novel research opportunities. Jon was a gifted artist and had several paintings exhibited in a gallery in Salt Lake City, Utah.
His kind personality led him to make friends easily, and he cherished them all. He was truly a beautiful and loving spirit who made all of us entwined in his life better for knowing him. In spite of his many gifts, he felt an unbearable amount of stress and anxiety. This past weekend, it became too much and he took his own life.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Erwin and Dottie Wissenback. He is survived by his parents, Harry and Jan; and beloved brother, Kevin; along with many loved half-siblings.
Undoubtedly, Jon knew how much he was loved and in death, he keeps that with him and we, all the people he loved, get to carry on his spirit knowing he loved each and everyone of us. Rest in peace our dearest Jon Boy!
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, 371 Eastland Drive N. in Twin Falls.
