Jerome, Idaho - Diane Kay Wiersema, 57, of Jerome, passed away Thursday April 3, 2014, in Jerome. Diane was a beautiful person with such a loving soul. Diane was known for her motherly attributes to all those around her. She was born on November 22, 1956 as the oldest of 4 children to Alvin and Barbara Schaak. Diane graduated from High School in Jerome, Id and met and married John soon after. She worked at Target and Dell computer through out most of her life.

She was always having fun and joking with everyone. She had no trouble making friends and was always willing to help any one including making a meal or two for their families. Her children meant the world to her and through them she also became the neighborhood mom to all the neighbor kids and friends of the kids that came to the house. She was very interested in helping with fund raisers her kids would have to raise money for J.H.S band, and became band mom to all the band kids and continued to be with her son Chris' band. She was always joking around with her nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed her lunch dates with her friend Jean and looked forward to her grand kids come over so she could spoil them. She developed a special relationship with Tina that meant so much to her and the entire family.

Diane is survived by her husband John Sr., her sons John Jr. and Chris, daughter Sara, and granddaughters, Niah and Nina. She is also survived by sister Debbie (Tim) Vawser, brother Doug Schaak, and sister Dalene (Dave) Hanchey as well as many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and many friends who loved her dearly.
Diane was proceeded in death by her parents Alvin and Barbara Schaak. Arrangements are under the care of Farnsworth Mortuary of Jerome.

I'm so sorry to hear of Diane's passing. I worked with her at Dell and found her to be one of the nicest people I have ever met. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
