Rupert, Idaho - Jay Paul Setser, 33, a resident of Rupert, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014 in Elko County, Nevada.

Jay was born in Rupert, Idaho to Ron and Robbyn Setser. He grew up in Rupert, Idaho and graduated from Minico High School.

He made his career with Eastern Idaho Railroad.

He loved outside sports, fishing, hunting, baseball, family gatherings, and being a volunteer fireman.

Jay is survived by his loving father Ron Setser, of Declo, Idaho; brothers Ryan Setser, of Declo, Idaho, and Chasen and sister-in-law Charisse, and nephew Maize Setser of Rupert, Idaho; grandmothers Donna Setser, of Burley, Idaho, and Glenda Heath Chadd, of Twin Falls, Idaho; uncles Don Setser and Boyd Setser; aunts MaryAnn Swinney, Amy Perkins and Glenna Eden, and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother Robbyn Heath Setser; brothers Kyle Eldon Setser, and Cory Ryan Setser; grandfathers Paul B. Setser, and Eldon O. Heath; uncle Mike Heath; and aunt Julie Heath Peyman; and cousin Ross Lee Setser.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Demaray Funeral Service – Shoshone Chapel, 404 W. B. St. in Shoshone. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, May 23, 2014 at the First Baptist Church, 205 5th Ave. E. in Shoshone. Burial will follow at the Shoshone Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Shoshone Chapel.
