Hazelton, Idaho - Chad Duane Mangum-Zarr, 28, passed away August 5, 2014 at his home in Hazelton, Idaho. He was born October 30, 1985, in Jerome, Idaho, to Jim and Kristina Zarr.
As a young boy, Chad shared a passion and excitement for anything to do with the outdoors. He was always sharing his ideas and inventions. No matter how far out of reach they seemed, he always put forth the effort and gave it his best. As the oldest of four children, he matured into the role model of hero and protector. At the age of 14, Chad and family relocated to Colorado, opening the door to many new adventures. He graduated in 2004, from Clear Creek High school in Idaho Springs, Colorado, during which time he took an interest in track and field and excelled in shot-put and discus, along with anything pertaining to computers and or video games.
As an adult, Chad moved back to Idaho with the rest of the family. While back home Chad had various jobs across the Magic Valley, widening his horizon and life experiences leading to his employment with Trinidad Benham Corporation in July of 2010 to the present.
Chad is survived by his parents, one brother, Bryant (Tiffany) Zarr, four sisters, Rachell (Gustavo) Arias, Jennifer (Justin) Dunlap, April and Alisa; his nieces, Taylor, Keianna, Aliyah and Ciarah; nephews, Triston and Kayden; His grandpas, Dave (Gloria) Dye and Bill (Vicki) Mangum; His grandma, Cheryl O’Brien, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Chad is preceded in death by his grandma, Doris Dye, great-grandparents, Orrin and Elaine Gardner and Joe and Alma Zarr, his uncle, Shane Mangum, his great-uncle, Rae Zarr, and his cousin, Tierra Mangum.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Tuesday August 12, 2014, in the Hazelton LDS Chapel, 531 Middleton, Hazelton, Idaho, with Bishop Bruce Pincock officiating. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Hazelton Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Farnsworth Mortuary of Jerome.
