Ray Read, 91, of Kimberly passed away at the Twin Falls Care Center, Monday, March 15, 2010. He was born June 12, 1918, to Joseph and Eliza Read in Oakley, Idaho.

Ray met his loving companion, Hannah Rudolph and married her on June 1, 1940 in Twin Falls, Idaho. They farmed south of Kimberly and Ray worked at the Sugar Factory during the campaign. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, nine brothers and sisters, daughter, Ginger Hoover and granddaughter, Tina Diamond.

Ray is survived by his wife, Hannah; son, Gary (Gloria) Read of Ogden; daughter, Shirley of Salt Lake; special son and daughter, Evan (Vicki) Reed of Twin Falls; grandchildren; Michelle (Rich) Vuksinick, Toni Rush, both of Salt Lake City; Robert Ray (Monika) Hoover of Oklahoma; grandson-in-law, Tom Diamond of North Carolina; great grandchildren; Andi and Dayna Vuksinick of Salt Lake City and Randi Diamond of North Carolina. The family would like to thank the Twin Falls Care Center for their care. The Idaho Home Health and Hospice was great in their care to Ray and we want to thank them for their wonderful care.

He will surely be missed by all; but will always be in our hearts. Funeral services will be held on Friday March 19, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at the Kimberly LDS 2nd ward building. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday March 18, 2010 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at White Mortuary in Twin Falls and also 1 hour prior to the service on Friday March 19, 2010 at the Church.
