Kansas City's Allen Flirting With Trade Options

With the NFL Draft less than a week away, talk has shifted to possible player trades.
One big one...The Kansas City Chiefs are looking at the possibility of dealing defensive end Jared Allen, the former Idaho State University standout.

The franchised Allen has made it clear he is not interested in signing long-term with the Chiefs. Which leaves them in a precarious situation.

Allen entertained a visit with the Minnesota Vikings over the weekend, but no deal was proposed. His plan is to visit Tampa Bay soon. As a franchise player, the trade would involve two draft picks going to the Chiefs. And with defensive studs in Virginia's Chris Long and Ohio State's Vernon Gholston available this weekend in the draft, the deal will likely become a reality in the coming days.

Whatever happens, we'll keep you posted.
