The Twin Falls Lady Bruins continued doing what they do best on Thursday afternoon, beating Skyline 4-0 in the High Country Conference Championship game. The Bruins only allowed a single hit on the day, while Petersen once again dominated from the mound, punching 14 tickets for the Grizzlies, including the first five batters she faced.

The game was scoreless until the bottom of the third, when the Bruins put runners on with a Kelli Roemer single and a Petersen double to deep center. Kalli McBride put the first RBI on the board with a single through the six-hole that plated Roemer. Petersen would score on a pop fly error that found the field in between two Grizzly fielders. Pinch runner Erica Coats would score on a fielder's choice groundout to first to put the Bruins up 3-0. The final run would score on a bases loaded walk two batters later.

Petersen and the Bruin defense held the Grizzlies to no runs and only a single hit that found a hole in the field in the top of the fifth inning.

The Bruins advance to next week's 5A State Tournament in Pocatello.
