This week's Athlete of the Week goes to a baseball player that showed he had what it takes for the playoffs. He is Twin Falls first baseman Bo Folkinga.
Twin Falls was in a dogfight on Friday against Madison for the High Country Conference championship. Down three in the sixth, the Bruins got within one, with Folkinga scoring one of those runs.
They were able to tie it up in the bottom the seventh, but had two outs when Folkinga stepped into the batters box. The situation didn't seem to bother the senior, as he teed off on the first pitch he saw, and hammered it deep over the left-center wall. The three run, walk off homerun gave Twin Falls the regional championship.
The Bruins will now face Lake City in the state tourney in Boise on Thursday.
