The Wood River Wolverines are shocking everyone in their hopes for a State Championship. The Wolverines finished thier season 6-14, but since have worked their way to some surprising wins over state and regional competition.

The Wolverines continued their hot streak this afternoon, handing the Lakeland Tigers a 4-0 loss. The Wolverines will face Bishop Kelly in the second round tomorrow. If they win, they will likely face the Minico Spartans for one more go around. That is, if the Spartans can handle their second round tomorrow as well.
