Twin Falls Battles Back in Consolation Bracket

By Jeremy Wayne

5-16-2008

The Twin Falls Bruins lost in the opening round of the state tournament for the second year in a row. They were determined to not face the same fate as last year, going two-and-out.

In today's elimination game with Borah, the Bruins hammered out a 5-4 win on a Bo Folkinga home run that almost wasn't. Folkinga crushed one to left field that bounced off the top of the wall and back into play. The officials converged and determined the ball actually left the park and the home run was counted, scoring the winning runs, and earning the Bruins a shot at tomorrow's 5th place consolation championship.
