If you haven't seen the promos running for the last month and a half, one of the biggest things that could happen, is going to happen, to the fastest growing sport in the world. Mixed martial arts, MMA, is coming live to CBS Primetime.
CBS is hosting Elite Extreme Combat, or Elite XC, starting Saturday night, for the sports first ever live national network primetime fight night. The premier fight card will include internet sensation Kimbo Slice and James Thompson in a heavyweight battle. “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler will be showcased as well, defending his title against UFC veteran Scott Smith.
One of the highlights of the evening will be Gina Carano and Kaitlyn Young. Carano, who is better known as Crush on the newly re-racked American Gladiators, is the Elite XC's cover girl athlete.
CBS is contracted for four Saturday Night Fights. The premier will air this Saturday night at 7 PM MDT, right here on KMVT. The next card is scheduled for Saturday June 14.
