Shoshone Indians Hope to Break From the Middle of the Snake River Pack

By Jeremy Wayne

8-26-2008

The Shoshone Indians are tired of sitting in the middle of the pack in the Snake River Conference. But, with perennial powerhouses Oakley, Raft River and Lighthouse still looking stellar, the Indians hope that their returning corps of starters will help them get over the hump.

The Indians return six senior starters, and a couple of impact juniors, to their eight-man lineup. That may be just the key to get into the upper echelon of their conference. And with a .500 record over the last two seasons, head coach Mark Sant is looking to make a run this year and get over the halfway mark.

The Indians open their season at home on Friday against non-conference cross-town rival Dietrich at 7 PM.
