In what may be the biggest weekend of the prep football season, eight Magic Valley teams are preparing for semi-final matchups.
In the 2A, Declo is looking to go on the road and get a win over Nampa Christian at Holt Arena. The Hornets got out to a slow start on the season, losing two out of the first three games. But, they now find themselves in position to advance to the 2A state championship game. The Hornets will face the Trojans at 3:30 p.m. in Pocatello.
In 1A Division I, Raft River is hoping to avenge a regular season loss to Oakley. The defending state champs beat the Trojans 38-8 in Malta. But after pulling off two playoff road wins already, Raft River seems poised to end Oakley's impressive 24 game win streak. The two teams will meet Friday night at 6 p.m. at Raft River High.
