The CSI baseball team got just what it needed on Saturday, sweeping Colorado Northwestern and winning its sixth straight game.
CSI jumped out to an early 3 run lead in Game 1, and added 3 more runs in the sixth to beat CNCC 6-2. Tanner Craswell knocked in 2 runs and went 1-2 at the plate.
Game 2 required a bit more fortitude from the Golden Eagles, as they found themselves tied at 2 in the fourth inning. But a 2 run homerun by sophomore Garrett Wolff put CSI on top for good in the bottom of the fourth. The Golden Eagles added 3 more runs in the sixth, and cruised to a 7-3 win.
CSI will be at Eastern Utah on March 27.
