5 Golden Eagles Earn Region honors

Twin Falls, ID ( KMVT - TV / KTWT - TV ) Despite a disappointing finish in the Region 18 tournament last Friday, the eighth-ranked CSI Women's volleyball team didn't go home completely empty–handed.

Five Golden Eagles were recognized with Region 18 awards. Freshman Natasa Savovic and sophomore Mercedes Vaughn earned First team honors, while freshman setter Katarina Kojic was named a second team selection.

Sophomore Braiden Johnston and freshman Jessi Seumalo received Honorable mentions.

Savovic led the team with 301 kills and *37 service aces* this season, while Vaughn tallied 276 kills. She finished second on the team in total blocks; Seumalo led the squad with *16 blocks.

Kojic also led the Golden Eagles with 767 assists, and Johnston paced CSI with 426 digs.

The Golden Eagles finished the season with a 21 and 10 record overall, while going 7 and 3 in conference play.
