The Great Basin Conference wrapped on Friday night, with Minico (3-2 GBC) stunning the conference champion Twin Falls Bruins (4-1 GBC) at Bill Matthews Field in Rupert to claim the third spot in the first round of the state tournament playoffs. Minico earned the third seed, and a road game against the defending 4A champions on Friday night at Holt Arena.

Jerome (4-1 GBC) earned the two-seed behind the Bruins with a win over Burley (2-3 GBC) to cap the regular season. The Tigers earned a home playoff and will host the Pocatello Indians in the Great Eight round on Friday.

Burley earned a spot by default on the coattails of the Spartans' win, and the loss by Canyon Ridge to Wood River. The Bobcats will be on the road to open their postseason at Twin Falls on Friday night.
