If Twin Falls rocked the boat in the Great Basin Conference against teams like Jerome and Minico in their first foray into the 4A, then the Bruins are surely looking to make more waves in the state tournament semifinal this Friday against Blackfoot.
The Broncos' only loss on the season came at the hands of defending state champion Hillcrest by two points. At 9-1, they have trailed the undefeated Knights in the power rankings throughout the year. The Broncos appear confident in what they've accomplished so far, and believe they have what it takes to be a championship team.
The Bruins (6-4) opened the season 1-3, before hitting their stride in the Great Basin. They took the conference title with wins over Jerome, Burley, Canyon Ridge and Wood River, and only a single division loss to Minico. The Bruins avenged an early season loss against Nampa last weekend in the quarterfinal, and will aim to continually improve, and grab a spot in next weekend's state 4A championship game.
