The Jerome and Twin Falls girl's basketball teams will face each other for a third time this season, as they both advanced to the semi-finals of the 4A Great Basin Conference tournament on Thursday.
The Tigers did so with ease, beating Wood River in a 62-33 rout. Senior Aubree Callen led the way for Jerome, scoring 15 points, while Baylie Smith chipped in 12 points. Jerome hasn't lost since November 17 when it fell to Mountain Home.
Twin Falls advanced to the semi-finals on the road, beating Minico in a 36-31 battle. Jazlyn Neilsen scored 10 points for the Bruins, while Spartan Brecka Fetzer countered with 11 points.
Jerome will host Twin Falls on Saturday, with the winner advancing to the conference championship. The Spartans have beaten the Bruins twice this year.
