With the high school basketball season winding its way to the conference tournaments, it was a big night in the Great Basin Conference, as Jerome hosted Burley and Twin Falls hosted Wood River.
The Tigers were struck with bad luck on the first play of the game when team leader Kameron Pearce injured his right arm after suffering a nasty fall while jumping for a lobbed pass. The senior who averages nearly 16 points for Jerome would not return to the game. The rest of the Tigers tried to fill the void, but came up just short to Burley, 54-52.
Twin Falls bounced back after losing to Minico on Wednesday. The Bruins run and gunned their way to an 83-17 win over Wood River on Friday night.
