Dawgs Step Up To RMFL AAA Division

By Jeremy Wayne

The Magic Valley Bulldawgs are making some big moves for 2010. The southern Idaho semi-pro football team is stepping up from the Rocky Mountain Football League's AA Division to the AAA Division.

The switch came about at the bi-annual RMFL league meeting last month. According to league minutes posted on rockymountainfootball.com, the Bulldawgs will take one of the vacancies left by the AA Idaho Falls Mustangs and AA Logan Stampede. Both teams cited player personnel issues in not graduating to the upper division. The Bulldawgs finished 8-2 in the AA Division, falling in the semifinals to eventual AA Champion Logan.

The Bulldawgs players, coaches and management feel the move will bring a better football product to the Magic Valley, as the AAA Division is loaded with a number of former-NCAA and NFL players.

Magic Valley will host their second annual Bulldawg Jamboree on March 27 at the Lighthouse Football Complex in Twin Falls. Check out their website at mvbulldawg.com to find out more about upcoming events, including the Bulldawg Banquet at Radio Rondevoo.
