TJ Surrage of Jerome signed her letter of intent to play softball and go to school at the College of Southern Idaho. Surrage was an all-conference star for the Jerome Tigers last season. On Monday, CSI head coach Nick Baumert noted her athleticism and versatility on the diamond as reasons for pursuing the senior. Surrage is excited to play for a team she has watched from it's inception three seasons ago.
The Tigers are also graduating standout running back Ross Hillier, who signed a letter to join the Carroll College track team, along with the Fighting Saints' football team. Hillier starred for the Jerome Tigers. As a junior, the TIgers played for the state title, falling to Hillcrest in the championship game. Hillier had a game-winning catch in the semifinal game, to beat Great Basin foe Minico to advance to the final.
Twin Falls Bruin Brianna Bishop will play at the next level as well. The standout softballer signed her letter of intent on Friday to play for North Idaho College in Coeur d'Alene. Bishop and the Cardinals will face Surrage and the Eagles in the Region 18 Scenic West Athletic Conference.
