Twin Falls won the 4A boys' state title on Saturday night, but early tests in the Great Basin Conference gave the Bruins the confidence and edge to go the distance.
The Bruins only lost three games during the season, but close calls against both Minico and Jerome gave the Bruins the competition they needed to hone their skills. The Tigers made their run, finishing as the consolation runner-up at the state tournament. Jerome nearly edged the Bruins in the GBC title game to earn the top seed to state.
But the Bruins' fate had been cast. The group of seniors made their mark. And Twin Falls grabbed their second state title in four years.
