Kashif Watson has played his final game for the University of Idaho.
The senior guard did not make the trip to Reno for Thursday's WAC tournament opener against Nevada, according to The Argonaut, the University of Idaho newspaper.
Watson had been suspended indefinitely as of March 5, allegedly for comments he made on his Twitter account following two losses late in the season that were critical of head coach Don Verlin.
Verlin told The Argonaut today that Watson did not make the trip to Reno with the team, effectively ending his career at Idaho.
Watson, as a junior college transfer, was the second-leading scorer on the team this season, averaging 10.7 points per game. In 62 games, 60 which he started, he tallied 651 points and grabbed 201 rebounds.
The Vandals open tournament play on Thursday night against the Nevada Wolf Pack at 6:30 p.m.
