Spring is in the air across the Magic Valley, at least on the sporting schedule. On Wednesday, the Filer softball team opened its spring campaign hosting Declo.
The Wildcats came out swinging a big stick, scoring 14 runs in the first three innings. The Filer pitching staff held the Hornets scoreless, as the Wildcats picked up a 15-0 mercy-rule win in the fourth inning.
