3-11-2010

Twin Falls track and field showed that they still have a high level of competition, despite the drop down into the 4A classification for 2010.

The Bruins failed to deliver a home win in their season opener, but several Bruins claimed individual victories, including both Dustin Hegstrom and Brooke Wagner in the 400 meter run. Wagner earned a 7-second victory in the girls' event, blowing out the competition in 58.94 seconds. In the boys' event, Hegstrom sprinted to the lead during the first 100 meters, and looked over his shoulder once, down the front stretch, on his way to a 3-second victory at 53.06 seconds.

The Bruin boys (54) finished in third today, behind first-place Skyline (73) and second-place Highland (56).

The Bruin girls (60) finish in second, behind Highland (64). Skyline (47) finished third.
