Carrick Felix has achieved something no other junior college recruit has ever done in Mike Krzyzewski's tenure: earn a scholarship to play basketball for the Duke Blue Devils.

Tuesday, Felix verbally committed to Duke, after a weekend visit to the Durham, North Carolina, campus. CSI men's head basketball coach Steve Gosar said he spoke to Felix on Tuesday afternoon, and the redshirt freshman is excited for this next step in his collegiate career. A medical redshirt last season leaves Felix with three years of eligibility at Duke. Gosar believes he was brought in for his athleticism, work ethic, and overall ability.

Felix will join an elite program, as the Blue Devils are a #1-seed in the NCAA National Tournament that starts this week.

We'll talk to Carrick Felix later this week, when he returns to Twin Falls after spring break.
