Youth prevails in Vandals' first scrimmage

Moscow, ID ( KMVT - TV / KTWT - TV ) The Idaho Vandals held their first scrimmage this morning, and head coach Paul Petrino said he saw some things he liked from his squad.

Offensively, Chad Chalich finished the day going 14-of- 27 for 171 yards and two rushing touchdowns. The redshirt freshman also threw for two scores as well.

Wide receiver Dezmon Epps led the team with 10 catches for 151 yards and three impressive touchdowns, while running back transfer Jerrel Brown stay toughed through 25 carries for 82 yards.

Defensively, juco transfer Marc Millan notched a team–high nine tackles in the high powered scrimmage
