Event Description
KMVT's Christmas for Kids in conjuction with Toys for Tots is a program designed to bring Christmas to needy Southern Idaho children, who would otherwise go without. New, unwrapped toys donated during the season are distributed by service providers in many of the communities. Many times, the volunteers combine the toys with food baskets which are given to qualifying families. Donations of toys come a variety of ways.
You can help by donating an unwrapped toy during the Christmas in the Nighttime sky program, the Friday after Thanksgiving. Barrels are placed at many stores in Southern Idaho late in November and early in December, where donations are accepted.
Watch KMVT for announcements where businesses and service organizations will promote toy drives or sponsor fundraising events in early December.
If you or your organization would like more information about this worthwhile community neighbor helping neighbor event, please call KMVT-TV, 208-733-1100 ext. 3060.
