Junior Achievement Achieve-a-Bowl

The Achieve-a=Bowl is a fun way to raise money and work on team-building to support financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship education throughout Idaho. Teams are formed and each team is asked but not required to get donations through raffle tickets. Each ticket is $10 and could win one of four prizes-- $1000 shopping at Fred Myers, one year Dutch Bros coffee, Apple 32G I Pad or an overnight stay at Cactus Pete's. There is no cost to come bowl. Just have fun.Through an active mentor network, JA provides in-school and after-school programs for students K-12. The curriculum is an hands on learning. For the 2015-2016 school year JA mentors taught 14,965 students in 110 schools /707 classrooms/ 11 counties and 25 school districts in Idaho. In the Magic Valley Junior Achievement serves classrooms in Castleford, Hagerman, Buhl, Gooding, Shoshone, Jerome, Twin Falls, Minico, Bliss, Kimberley and more classrooms are requesting mentors for next year. This event is the main fundraiser for the Magic Valley. Every dollar raised goes directly to teaching the students.

A Jog with Christ - Fun run/walk to support the Rupert Women's Shelter

Riverside Park, Heyburn, Idaho
On Sept. 10, a fun-run/walk will raise money for the Rupert Women's Shelter. The community is invited to participate in the event. Admission is items for the shelter. Registration for the event is from 9:30-11:30 a.m. The run/walk starts at noon. A presentation and hotdog roast will be from 1:45-3:30 p.m.

Possible admission items include diapers, baby items, shoes, toys, paper goods, toys, canned food and women's/children's clothing. Items must be clean and unused.

Ice Cream Churn-Off

We are looking for people who would like to participate in this event by donating time and/or ice cream! Bridgeview Estates will supply cups, spoons, napkins and tables.

Public admission is $5. Submit an ice cream at no charge.

All proceeds will go to St. Edwards Soup Kitchen.
