After a long, snowy winter, Saint Patrick’s Day has finally arrived.
And that marks the start of downtown Twin Falls coming alive. Steve O’Connor, O’Dunkens Draught House owner, says “Well, tomorrow's started at eleven–thirty. Everybody's going to be at the True Value Hardware lined up, engines will be started. This is the first year I'm going to be in the parade, my wife and I. If everything goes right, we'll lead off the parade. It is kind of the slow, it is very slow down here over the last two to three months of winter and it'll help maybe kick start things. O'Dunkens draught house owner Steve O’Conner says Saint Patty's day is an important economic boost for the area. “Well, I would hope that with the amount of people that are going to be coming through here, that everyone will get a chance to see all that the different and new stores that have come up.” With memories of warm temperatures last year, this year's edition should be just as lively. O’Connor says “It won't make a bit of difference. These are Idahoans, it doesn't matter of it was ten degrees below, they will show.”
