The straight 48 events came to a close today in Sun Valley. It may be called Warm Springs, but the talent was hot at the Paul Mitchell Ski half pipe competition. Names such as Colby West, Peter Olenick, J.P. Solberg among others dominated the mountain and showed the audience why they are some of the top athletes in the world. Peter Olenick, a winner, says "I'm pretty much the man. Go for it all the time and I'm kind of getting older just having fun with it." Olenick proved his talent by winning the monster hit competition. He took home a cool $15,000, but as the top athlete that he is, wanted to show more in the half pipe competition. "I was really trying to go for it in the actual pipe contest and had a few little errors, the walls were getting soft, hard to send it so it's a trick I've done before, I invented it, wasn't too bad, a little scary the first time." All the athletes today left everything out on the mountain as air and talent saw no limits. As for Olenick – his future will remain busy.
"We're going to do a bunch of filming. Going over to Europe and Sweden and stuff, pretty psyched on it."
