Sometimes it takes a little work to bring out a happy face like this.
As employees at one local photographer say, it can be an art.
Jenny Fivecoat says, “I’ve had a few today that were kind of difficult.
Jenny Fivecoat is a manager at Kiddie Candids inside the Magic Valley Mall.
She says that Easter is one of their busiest periods.
Fivecoat says, “We’re doing a lot of pictures. Wait times are a little outrageous, but everybody gets in.
Parents show up with children who are sometimes grumpy, hungry, and even sleepy and the photographer's job is to get that perfect smile every time.
Fivecoat says, “You got to just get to their level. You know, and try to interact with them as much as possible without scaring them. And that's the only problem that you have with kids that don't want to smile is that they're unsure what you're trying to do.”
But even though it can take a little work she says it depends on the time of day, on if they've eaten, and they have to take everything into account.
