A local youth service club reached out to the community through the planting of trees.
The Modern Woodmen Youth Service Club planted nine trees, four lilacs and other flowers at the kid’s club park located at the migrant camp in south Twin Falls.
The club donated a thousand dollars to the project as part of building bonds between cultures and organizations in the community.
DeeAnn Jenks says, "that's really the reason that us moms lead the club to do it is to get our kids involved in the community and to teach them that volunteerism is a good thing and it's rewarding."
Organizers at the Migrant Camp want to thank CSI welding students for crafting the bridge and officials say they are still looking for volunteers to help shape the rest of the park.
