Brian Neudorff
Southern Idaho's Chief Meteorologist
Brian joined KMVT in May of 2011. Although he came to us from the state of New York where he worked as the morning meteorologist for WROC-TV, he is far from being a New Yorker. In fact, Brian is a Midwesterner, growing up in central Indiana.
Brian has a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Purdue University. He was active in the Purdue Bands as a trumpet player. Brian says it was that love of music and performing jazz that made him decide to go into broadcast meteorology.
Brian is also a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM), an accreditation awarded by the American Meteorological Society. He also holds his seal of approval from the National Weather Association.
Brian's love for the weather began even before he entered grade school. Living in Indiana, he grew up with severe storms and just that power and beauty had him hooked. As a child Brian was a regular viewer of The Weather Channel and local weather programs.
Brian lives in Twin Falls with his wonderful wife Trisha and his three sons, "the twins" Ryan and Zachary, and their youngest, Alexander. Outside of work, Brian enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports especially his Purdue Boilermakers and NASCAR and is excited about taking advantage all the natural beauty and outdoor activities Southern Idaho has to offer. Brian and his family are very proud to call Twin Falls and Southern Idaho their new home.
