Rain To Arrive Later Today Followed By Hot Temperatures Later This Week

By Brandon Redmond

The work week will start off wet but end very hot. A weather system off to our West will help push moisture into the area later today and into Tuesday Morning. The clouds and rain showers will help keep temperatures cooler than yesterday. In fact we will be about 5-10 degrees below normal today with high temperatures only climbing into the middle 70's.

The radar shows a large area of rain over Northern California and Northwestern Nevada. This area of rain will arrive by this evening bringing us a good chance of showers and maybe even a few thunderstorms.

Our forecast models agree that we will see between one and two tenths of an inch of rain. Some areas could see a bit more, especially across the higher elevations and the Mountains.

Behind the storm system temperatures will start to warm back up. We will make it into the middle 80's by Wednesday and the 90's by Thursday, Friday and into the weekend. Here are your weather headlines!

Have a great week everyone - Brandon
