Snow Just In Time For Christmas?

By Brandon Redmond

As you've probably heard us saying by now, it does appear we will see some accumulating snow just in time for Christmas.

A weather system developing across parts of the Pacific will impact Idaho beginning through Sunday and continuing through Christmas Morning.

Our forecast models have consistently forecasting a solid 1-2" of snow here in the Magic Valley with higher amounts across the South Hills and North of Jerome. Periods of snow showers will be possible beginning late Saturday Night and continuing through Tuesday.

If you will be traveling on Christmas Eve, here's a national forecast map. With the weather system we were talking about above, snow showers and gusty winds will impact much of the Northwest. This could create some travel problems.

I'll have the latest on the potential Christmas snow throughout the weekend! Have a great day - Brandon
