An upper level low will start moving from British Columbia towards Eastern Washington. This will continue to pump in moisture to the region which could produce a few showers and thunderstorms later in the afternoon and early evening hours. Highs will be nice reaching the mid 70s in the valleys and mid 60s in the mountains. The low pressure system will push eastwards towards the panhandle of the Gem State which could produce a few isolated showers tonight with mostly cloudy skies. Lows will be mild due to the cloud coverage, only getting down into the upper 40s to the lower 50s in the valleys and mid 40s in the mountains.

Tuesday looks to have more scattered showers and thunderstorms with the low pressure system located near the panhandle. These showers will intensify in the afternoon where a few thunderstorms could reach severe limits with heavy downpours, hail and gusty winds. Highs will still be in the 70s in the valleys and 60s in the mountains. In the wake of the low pressure moving eastwards on Wednesday and Thursday we will mention a chance of a few afternoon showers and storms. A weak ridge will start to build up by Friday and into the weekend promoting warm temperatures with mostly sunny skies.
