Our Bird dog thinks she is a mother duck. Now that is what you can call a real bird dog. Right? The ducks come right up to her in the yard and look her right in the eyes. They lie down and go to sleep by her. And one of them likes to nibble her nose, like baby ducks do their mothers beak. Its because Bennet our black lab is the only mother she has ever know besides me. Bennet made all kinds of encouraging noise to Tinker Bell when she was hatching. She would peep and Bennet would whine to her and make funny squeaky noises. So Bennet was calling her out of her egg, like the mother duck will when a baby duck is struggling to hatch. I have seen Tinker Bell talk to her eggs like that too. She encourages them to not to give up and quite. And one of the first things most of the little ducks do in bonding is to nibble their mothers beak, like Tinker Bell did Bennet’s nose right after she hatched. Well that is the rest of the story. May you have a wonderful day, and keep on flying high, may your skies always be blue and your out look be up lifting.
